Hi everyone! Happy Thursday! I can’t wait for tomorrow at this time…..almost the weekend!
Today was a MUCH better day than yesterday and went a lot smoother. This morning I started my day (for the second day in a row) with a breakfast cookie. Thank you again, Gina!
This monster consisted of 1/2 cup oats, 1/2 scoop chocolate protein, 1 huge spoonful almond butter, 1/2 mashed banana and 2 tbsp silk. Yum!
Around 9:30 I tried a new flavor of larabar:
The verdict?? YUMMY!!! I can’t believe I’ve never had a cashew cookie larabar. Cashews and brazil nuts are my two favorite type of nuts and this bar was scrumptious. It held me over perfectly until noon when I had lunch….
Which was delicious leftovers from last night! I packed more couscous & roasted chickpeas with the rest of my butternut squash.
Mmmmm it was soooo good and even better after I smothered everything in hot sauce. Love it!
I’m going to spin tonight at 6:00, so just now I had a hefty clif bar snackie:
I was so psyched to try this but, honestly, I wasn’t that thrilled by it! Sad! If it didn’t say “iced gingerbread” on the package, I would have NEVER known it was gingerbread flavored. Gingerbread cookies are my favorite cookie of all time so I’m pretty particular about it…..but still…..I couldn’t pick up on any gingerbready notes in this bar at all! It wasn’t bad though and I still devoured it…I just think I prefer the maple nut or the pear apple strudel more.
Today at work I plated up 40 key lime pies that I made:
Baked tons of focaccia:
And started prepping for Thanksgiving!!!! Crazy that the big day is a week from today! These past couple months have just flown by. Adam and I were going over the Thanksgiving menu for the pastries and its just enormous. Loooooong listts of breads, muffins, scones, cakes, pies, petit fours……everything! Pumpkin whoopie pies DID make the cut though so they will be served as well!
I’m off to get some stuff done then hit the gym. I’ve been so chilly all day (the kitchen was FREEZING) so I’m really looking forward to getting all hot and sweaty at spin tonight!
See you for dinner later!

Added 31/10/2008 13:00:00
I love to make my own breadcrumbs out of garlic bread, but sometimes you know I just don't have the time. That's why I was so excited to see McCormick Crusting Blends in the spice section of my local Stop and Shop. The one I chose was Garlic,[...]http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/FoodLoversLike...
