I'm going to review a place most of you New Yorkers already know. Crested just off of popular Union Square is a lovely restaurant called Chat n Chew. Often there is a line out the door for this place and for good reason. Actors and NYU students alike frequent the place for some much needed r&r, script reading, and most importantly, belly filling. The two favorites of the place are the Thanksgiving On A Roll and the Quintessential Mac & Cheese. The Thanksgiving On A Roll is exactly what you might envision. Turkey, Stuffing, Cranberry, etc all crammed into one sandwich. Why not get the holiday done in one simple roll, right? The Mac & Cheese is homemade style, equipped with traditional crusty top. Now, those two dishes are the favorites here, but I have to recommend the "Not Your Mother's Meatloaf". Oh my the catchy dish names. It's good and filling, but the best part about this dish is how the mashed potatoes are made with the skin left on. Yum. Chat n Chew is very well known for their cakes. They have some of the basic cake flavors such as Red Velvet or Cookies n Cream, but they go as far as Coca Cola flavored. I love that they are creative!
