This arrived in my Inbox shortly before class:


NUTR 371 canceled today

Sweet! I’m now at home sipping a cup of hot tea in my slippers and hoping to knock this semester nutrition project off my to-do list for good.


But going back to campus… here’s what I packed for lunch.


A romaine, carrot, POM, hummus (it’s hidden in the lettuce), caper (sorry Fancy!) and blue cheese salad with some vinegar on the bottom for flava. This was the last of that giant hunk of blue cheese I got at BJ’s. It turned out to be pretty economical!

Plus my newest invention: a cottage cheese, pumpkin + honey-cinnamon sandwich on High 5 bread! It was excellent. I just spread a quarter-inch thick layer of the goods on there and drizzled with honey and a sprinkle of cinnamon. It did get a TAD bit soggy on the pumpkin side, but that was OK.

OK, back to my project. It’s all downhill from here. Just Organic in the AM and the weekend begins! Too bad I have a ton of studying to do this weekend, so next weekend can be wide open - we’ve got company coming for an exciting reason - more details TBA!
