1- I hate to touch flour! I just can't stand the texture! It honestly has never stopped me from baking or cooking anything but it makes me very queasy!
2- Ich spreche Deutsch! (I speak German!) I was an exchange student to Austria in High School and later served a LDS mission in Berlin Germany! Loved it! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE German and Austrian food and have some incredible German cookbooks that I love to use! (I need to use them more often!)
3- I am a college student (still!) I graduate in May with a Social Science Composite and will finish my Secondary teaching licensure by the following May! (Changing majors and a killer case of Mono put a little hitch in my giddy up . . . but I am still on track and almost done!)
4- I have 4 sisters and 4 sister in laws who are awesome! I love hanging out with "the girls" every chance that I can and love shopping with them the day after Thanksgiving, having girls nights, scrapbooking, crafts and cooking!
5- I am 5 ft 2 inches tall and am the shortest of all my sisters!
6- I LOVE old movies and am a major fan of Doris Day, John Wayne, Carey Grant, and Maureen O'Hara. Some of my favorite oldies are The Quiet Man, Father Goose, McClintock, Life with Father, The Glass Bottom Boat, Pillow Talk, etc. . . .
7- I have broken my little toe on each foot by stubbing them on my parents couch and have the most sensitive (and now paranoid) feet in history!!!

I have always wanted to make homemade chutney . . . so at long last I did! (Just in time for Thanksgiving too . . . it will be wonderful on our Thanksgiving table!) Man almighty does my house smell good! With every ingredient I added a new incredible scent burst from the pot creating a spicy potpourri that I wish that I could bottle and let loose in my house everyday! Cranberries, pears, onions, fresh ginger, lime, orange, cinnamon, and allspice! Love it! Cranberries and citrus go so well together and I love the brightness that the lime and orange add! I am definitely going to make more chutney in the future! I am a little ancy today and am ready to take off when my hubby gets off of work and head south for a weekend to be with my gals! We have a group going to "Twilight" (yes, roll your eyes if you must!) tonight and are doing a girls night out! I need it! I am ready to be done with school this semester and move on! A little chill time is just what the doctor ordered!

Added 10/11/2008 07:28:23
Cranberries really are given a bad rap. Memories of the canned version at Thanksgiving, reminiscent of jello are partially to blame, and sadly, this side dish has been discarded from many a modern Thanksgiving holiday. We say give chutney[...]http://savory.tv/2008/11/10/spice-up-your-tha...
