This is a recipe that comes from my mother-in-law. It's suppose to be a homemade version of an orange julius. When I was a young girl I had a similar recipe that I would make, however it called for raw egg and nutmeg. Now a days it is not recommend to eat raw egg. This recipe is basically the same as what I made a a girl without the raw egg and nutmeg. My mother also now makes this from Christmas as part of her brunch.
Orange Blender Drink
1 (6 oz) can frozen orange juice concentrate (this is is hard to find now so just use half of a 12 oz)
1 cup milk (I use skim)
1 cup cold water
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
10-12 ice cubes (More if needed to make desired consistency)
Put ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
Makes 4-6 servings.
